Our aim is to promote the conservation of the remaining native forests of
Victoria.
Our objectives are:
- To end clearfelling and woodchipping in native forests, especially in water
catchments.
- To increase the appreciation of native forests as being of more value than
as a cash crop for the forestry industry ie: they are integral to a healthy
planet.
- To change government policies and management structures that relate to native
forests so that the conservation reserve system permanently protects the integrity
and values of native forests, such as old growth areas, waterfalls, important
stream valleys, significant habitat areas, giant trees etc.
